Tight security as detained GD deputies arrive in Parliament

Security measures were tight in Parliament on Wednesday as detained lawmakers of the ultra nationalist Golden Dawn arrived for a session regarding the lifting of their immunity.

Giorgos Germenis and former GD deputy Stathis Boukouras were expected to join fellow lawmakers in a vote on whether their immunity should be lifted for prosecution over charges of illegal possession of explosives and weapons.

Private parties were banned from visiting the House on Wednesday morning.
