Hellenic Red Cross asks for donations for Serbia flood victims
The Hellenic Red Cross office in Thessaloniki on Tuesday appealed for donations to support the humanitarian aid effort in Serbia, where catastrophic floods have killed dozens and left thousands homeless.
Following a request by the Serbian consul general in Thessaloniki, Sinisa Pavic, the aid organization said it would start collecting donations from Tuesday and appealed for contributions.
The items most urgently needed include mattresses, sheets, underwear, socks, diapers, torches and batteries.
