Papandreou ‘always ready’ to help Greek center-left regroup
George Papandreou, Greece’s former socialist prime minister, has said he is “always ready” to help the center-left regroup in the country.
“I am always ready to contribute and help reconstruct [the center-left], the former PASOK chief said in an interview with Deutsche Welle in Berlin on Wednesday.
The country’s center-left can play a “substantial role” in bringing about the big changes that the country needs, he said.
Speaking to DW, Papandreou did not rule out the possibility of PASOK joining a SYRIZA-led coalition government. “We must be open to potential cooperation in the future,” he said.
