Golden Dawn chief, two MPs to appear in Parliament for immunity hearing
Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos and two prominent MPs, Christos Pappas and Yiannis Lagos, are expected to appear in Parliament next Wednesday ahead of a vote to lift their immunity on a series of criminal charges.
The three are all in custody pending trial for membership of a criminal organization.
Wednesday’s vote relates to additional charges – of illegal gun ownership for Michaloliakos and Lagos and of creating an illegal archives for Pappas, who was found in possession of Nazi memorabilia and documents.
A prison parole chief will make the final decision on whether to grant leave to the three MPs to attend Parliament.
