Citizens to get complaint portal

An online government portal featuring information regarding state recruitments and procurements as well as other decisions is to be enriched with a new feature as of next week when citizens will be able to post complaints about matters relating to public administration.

The new “complaints channel” is to go live on June 10, Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Thursday, noting that the updated system – accessible at diavgeia.gov.gr – would be more user-friendly.

Complaints uploaded on the new channel are to be investigated by public administration inspectors.

Commenting on the updated service, Mitsotakis spoke of “an extremely useful tool that allows citizens to monitor the way that public power is exercised.”
