Boy, 7, flown to Hanover for liver transplant on PM’s aircraft

A seven-year-old boy suffering from a serious liver ailment was flown to Germany for an organ transplant aboard the prime ministerial aircraft late on Thursday, Skai reported, noting that Antonis Samaras gave the order for the transfer once he was informed of the critical condition of the boy’s health.

The boy, who is said to be suffering from Wilson Disease, a rare genetic ailment caused by the buildup of copper in the vital organs, was flown to Hanover after an organ donor was found there, Skai reported.
