University administrative staff launches 3-day strike

The union representing Greek university administrative employees launched a three-day strike on Wednesday in protest to the fact that colleagues placed in a mobility scheme late last year have yet to be transferred to positions in other insitutions and are in danger of being dismissed.

Earlier in the week the union stated that more industrial action would follow if the government did not provide guarantees for the 399 administrative staffers concerned, which could put the academic semester at risk.
