Three arrested for ramming vehicle off the road, killing one
Three Greeks aged 48, 55 and 58 have been arrested in the Peloponnese on suspicion of intentionally ramming another car carrying two Bulgarians off the road, leading to one of the men being killed.
Police said on Saturday that the incident occurred early on Thursday after the two groups of men got into an argument in the village of Myrsini, in Ileia.
This led to the 58-year-old Greek punching one of the Bulgarians, aged 35. The two Bulgarian men then got into their car and drove off.
It is believed that the three locals chased them in their vehicle and forced the victims’ car off the road and into an irrigation channel.
The 35-year-old was injured in the crash but his 27-year-old countryman was killed.
