Civil aviation staff call 48-hour strike; controllers not to join
The union representing staff at the Civil Aviation Authority on Wednesday announced a “warning” strike for Monday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 1, to press their demand for more state funding.
The 48-hour stoppage will not be joined by air-traffic controllers, which means that major flight disruptions are not expected as the tourism season enters its busy period.
Authorities, however, did say that travelers should brace themselves for some delays.
