Man arrested in Lamia for firing shotgun at police

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Lamia, central Greece, for firing his shotgun at police officers.

Authorities were called to the man’s house on Sunday night after neighbors complained that he had been firing the weapon into the air.

When the officers arrived, he turned the weapon on them, causing damage to one of their patrol cars. No policemen were injured.

The 30-year-old did not have a permit for the shotgun, according to the police.
