A highspeed…

A highspeed ferry leaves Piraeus port for the Aegean islands yesterday as tens of thousands of Athenians embarked for their summer holidays. Up to 150,000 people are expected to leave for the archipelago over the weekend, while the wave of holidaymakers is expected to peak in mid-August. A total of 36 ferries sailed from Piraeus yesterday, while over 50,000 cars streamed out of the capital on the national roads north and south.
