Russian tourist missing since last week found dead in Halkidiki ravine

A coroner is investigating the exact cause of death of a 69-year-old Russian tourist, whose body was found in a ravine in Sithonia, a part of the Halkidiki peninsula in northern Greece.

The unnamed man had been reported missing last Wednesday, when it is believed that he set out for a hike in the area of Neos Marmaras.

His body was found by rescue teams on Friday in a ravine.

It is likely that his death is due to a fall.
