Police crackdown on street crime leads to 16 arrested in Athens

An ongoing police operation dubbed “Theseus,” aimed at cracking down on street crime in central Athens, led to 16 arrests being made on Saturday.

Police said 10 suspects were arrested on charges of illegal street trade, two on drugs-related charges, two for failing to present valid identity cards or visas, and two for copyright violations.
