Two stabbed in Thessaloniki after asking youths to pipe down

A 64-year-old man and his 34-year-old son were being treated for multiple stab wounds at Thessaloniki’s Papanikolaou Hospital on Monday after being attacked by two youths whom they had asked to stop making noise outside the apartment block where they live in the northern port city.

According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, a total of four men turned on the father and son after the pair asked the youths to keep their voices down outside the block.

Two of the four – both said to be members of the Roma community – are said to have drawn knives and attacked the father and son.

The injuries sustained by the victims were serious but not life-threatening, according to doctors.
