Swedes held on Corfu for supplying fake IDs to Syrians

Two Swedish men were arrested at Corfu airport on Wednesday on suspicion of supplying false identity documents to three Syrian men.

The Swedes, aged 48 and 51, are accused of giving the three irregular immigrants two passports belonging to other people and a stolen Italian identity card.

They face charges of helping the migrants leave the country illegally, which is a felony.

The Syrians, aged 21, 44 and 50, were also taken into custody.
