Church of Greece to appeal to Moscow patriarch over ban on Greek produce

The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece has decided to write to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow to ask him to speak to the Russian government regarding the ban on imports from European Union countries.

The Holy Synod took the decision when it met on Monday and, according to reports, is hoping that Kirill’s intervention can help convince Moscow to allow imports of Greek agricultural products.

The Church of Greece priests met to discuss the anti-racism bill being prepared by the government. They will continued their talks on Tuesday.
