Elderly couple beaten, robbed by armed burglars in Magnesia
Police in Magnesia on Tuesday were seeking three burglars who broke into the home of an elderly couple in Magnesia, central Greece, beat the pair and tied them up before fleeing with some 2,000 euros in cash and valuables.
The 75-year-old man and his wife, 77, had been in bed when the assailants entered their home in Efxeinoupoli in the early hours of Tuesday, according to the pair, who said the robbers were armed with guns and knives.
