Architrave pieces found at Amphipolis Tomb
Archaeologists at the Amphipolis excavation site on Wednesday unearthed three architrave pieces behind the tomb’s second entrance.
The fragments, which feature traces of blue and red, were subsequently taken to the Amphipolis Archaeological Museum for security reasons.
The site, located about 100 kilometers from Thessaloniki, is billed as a major archaeological discovery dating to the era of Alexander the Great.
