Municipal, cultural ministry, employees stage protest
The municipal workers’ union (POE-OTA) and the Ministry of Culture workers’ union (POE-YPPO) on Thursday staged a protest rally outside the Ministry of Administrative Reform.
Employees were protesting the government’s evaluations scheme in the public sector as well as changes in the conversion of short-term contracts to permanent contracts.
Demonstrators were expected to reach the Inspectors-Controllers Body for Public Administration headquarters later on Thursday.
