Parents detained after trying to take child after losing custody
A 25-year-old man and his 22-year-old wife were being questioned by police in the western port of Patra on Tuesday after they allegedly unlawfully removed their infant from a pediatric clinic in the city’s university hospital on Monday despite having been deprived of custody in a recent court ruling.
Police also detained a 67-year-old Israeli national who is believed to have helped them take the child.
No details were available about the reasoning of the court ruling that led to the parents losing custody of their child.
