Greek public hospital worker kept mum about double pay for 13 years
A public hospital employee has been suspended after authorities discovered that she had been receiving two salaries since January 2001 but had not informed her bosses.
The woman had previously worked at the Alexandra Hospital in Athens but moved to a health center in Serres, northern Greece, 14 years ago.
After moving she received wages for both positions.
A Health Ministry disciplinary committee is due to meet within the next 30 days to finalize the woman’s punishment.
