Doctors, medical staff plan protest action
Doctors and other employees at Greece’s state hospitals are planning nationwide protest action next Wednesday and Thursday, the unions have announced.
Protest rallies will be held throughout the country on Wednesday afternoon by medical and workers’ unions, while on Thursday the action will center on the capital, with a march at Syntagma Square at noon.
Doctors, nurses and other hospital workers will also be on strike throughout Thursday. They are protesting staff shortages and pay cuts, as well as new regulations governing supplies.
