Protesting students scuffle with police outside Education Ministry
At least one student was detained Friday during a tense protest rally against the government’s education reforms.
About 1,500 students, parents and teachers gathered outside the Education Ministry headquarters in Maroussi, north of Athens, to protest the reforms. Police fired flash grenades when a group of protesters tried to storm the building.
There were no reports of injuries.
