Young man arrested for threatening armed attack on college
Members of the police’s cyber crimes unit said on Tuesday that they had arrested a 21-year-old student who had posted a message on his Facebook page threatening to use an automatic rifle in a killing spree at his technical college, citing the Albanian perpetrator of last week’s armed attack at a bar in Mikrolimano as his inspiration.
The 21-year was taken to his local police precinct where he apologized for posting the threat and claimed that he had not intended to carry out the attack. The matter was entrusted to a prosecutor who was to decide on what charges the student should face.
