Ties with China growing in university education
Greek universities are in a position to cooperate with Chinese universities on joint undergraduate and postgraduate programs, Education Minister Andreas Loverdos has said on a visit to China.
Speaking to China Daily newspaper, Loverdos said that the countries are cooperating on the founding of an Asian Studies department at Athens University, with courses starting in September next year.
The minister also suggested that Chinese students could enrol for two English-language tourism management courses to be introduced.
He said there would also soon be a classical studies program in English.
