SYRIZA MPs not to take part in constitutional reform committee
Opposition SYRIZA deputies were not expected to participate in a Parliamentary committee overlooking constitutional reforms proposed by the current coalition government, it emerged on Thursday.
SYRIZA chief Alexis Tsipras notified House Speaker Evangelos Meimarakis of the party’s decision on Thursday.
In a letter addressed to Meimarakis, Tsipras noted that the party’s views regarding the purpose of commencing such a discussion, if no general election takes place, had already been presented in Parliament during the recent discussion regarding the 2015 budget.
