Civil servants to protest reforms through work stoppage
Civil servants’ union ADEDY has called a three-hour Attica-wide work stoppage, from noon Thursday, demanding the rehiring of dismissed public sector workers and the abolition of a troika-mandated mobility scheme as well as other reforms.
ADEDY has called on civil servants to join a protest rally at 1 p.m. in central Klafthmonos Square. Meanwhile administrative staff at state universities are to hold a two-day strike Wednesday and Thursday to protest layoffs and forced transfers that they say have left educational institutions unable to function.
