Teacher accused of kicking student, injuring ribs
A teacher in Lamia, central Greece, has been removed from her primary school class after allegations that she kicked one of her pupils, injuring the youngster’s ribs.
The teacher claims the pupil was hurt when he fell.
Deputy Education Minister Alexandros Dermetzopoulos said that the teacher has been removed from the class but not the school, pending an investigation.
“We cannot convict someone until there has been an investigation,” the government official told Skai TV.
He said the result of a probe is expected Friday.
