Police believe same perpetrators behind two Peloponnese heists
Police in the Peloponnese were on Tuesday seeking the perpetrators behind two armed robberies – one at a post office in Aigio and the other at another post office in nearby Kalavryta.
In the first raid, two masked gunman netted around 5,000 euros, according to police who believe the same two robbers targeted the second post office where roughly the same sum was netted.
Apart from the timing and proximity of the two raids, sources said that the descriptions of the perpetrators given to police by staff at the two post offices match.
Later in the day police found a black car abandoned close to the Nestani tollgates on the Tripoli-Corinth national highway.
After running a check, officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from Neo Iraklio, northern Athens, early this month.
