Larissa radio sportscaster knifed while on air
Yiannis Kaloyiannis, a sportscaster at Larissa-based broadcaster OK Radio, sustained minor injuries on Friday when an assailant broke in to the studio while he was on air and attacked him with a knife.
According to local reports, the two men had argued earlier in the day when Kaloyiannis refused the attacker’s demands to make a statement during his show.
The stabbing left Kaloyiannis with minor thigh injuries and the assailant managed to escape in the panic that ensued.
