Discounts on trains and buses in Greece during election period
Passengers using intercity trains between January 22 and 28 will receive a 30 percent discount as part of a promotion by the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) to coincide with the January 25 elections.
Customers buying tickets in advance will also receive the customary 15 percent discount for pre-booking.
Passengers on the Proastiakos suburban railway will also be given a 30 percent discount if they produce an identity card or other document proving they need to travel in order to vote.
There will also be a 25 percent discount for anyone traveling by intercity (KTEL) bus between January 23 and 27.
