Two men arrested in Athens over suitcase full of heroin
Two men were arrested in Athens on Wednesday after an airline passenger’s missing suitcase was found to contain more than 20 kilos of heroin.
One of the two suspects, a 53-year-old who traveled to Athens from Karachi in Pakistan, had declared to airport authorities that his luggage went missing during his trip.
However, when security officials later checked the suitcase they found 20.5 kilos of heroin inside.
The suitcase was delivered to the address the man had given in the central Athens neighborhood of Patissia, where he was arrested along with a 40-year-old alleged accomplice, who was also at the apartment.
