Crime boss claims he knows who murdered Golden Dawn members, police report says

The jailed head of a crime syndicate, Panayiotis Vlastos, has allegedly told a relative that he knows who murdered two Golden Dawn members in late 2013.

According to a police report that has been included in a case file built up during a probe into an alleged blackmail ring operating from Korydallos Prison, Vlastos told his relative that he was not involved in the murders of Giorgos Fountoulis, 26, and Manolis Kapelonis, 22, but that he had supplied the motorcycle helmets used by the two men involved in the shooting outside Golden Dawn’s offices in Neo Iraklio on November 1, 2013.

Nobody has been arrested in connection to the murders. The killings were claimed by a new urban guerrilla organization calling itself Militant Popular Revolutionary Forces.
