SYRIZA denies it has plans to change civil service hiring process
SYRIZA denied on Monday that it intends to scrap the body that assesses whether candidates have the necessary qualities to be employed in the public sector.
New Democracy spokeswoman Maria Spyraki seized on a comment by a SYRIZA candidate and issued a statement on Monday accusing the leftists of having plans to scrap the Supreme Council of Personnel Selection (ASEP) so it could hire party faithful.
SYRIZA said this was not the case and claimed that it would “safeguard and improve” ASEP.
