Police seeking would-be thieves in Menidi
Police in northern Athens were seeking the would-be thieves who broke into a company’s offices in Menidi, removed the company’s safe but were let down by their getaway car and fled without the loot.
The intruders entered the first-floor offices at around 4.30 a.m. on Friday, threw the safe down to the street and loaded it into the back of a pickup truck, according to witnesses who said the perpetrators were forced to flee when the truck did not start.
