Heavy rain causes floods in Rodopi
Heavy rainfall in Rodopi, northern Greece, on Friday caused widespread flooding, prompting dozens of calls to the emergency services by households, businesses and stranded motorists.
More than 30 ground-level and basement stores and businesses were submerged by floodwaters which were pumped out of the premises by the local fire service.
Rescue workers were also dispatched to the aid of several motorists.
