Funerals for F-16 pilots held in Athens
The funerals of two Hellenic Air Force pilots whose F-16 fighter jet crashed during NATO-led exercises in Albacete, Spain, were to take place in two different locations in Athens on Thursday. Another 9 people died in the deadly accident.
While the bodies of Panagiotis Laskaris, 35, and Athanasios Zangas, 31, were flown back to Grece on a Hellenic Air Force plane, a team of Greek experts remained in Spain taking part in the ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
