Police in northern Greece seek serial beehive thief

Police in northern Greece said on Tuesday that they were seeking a 65-year-old man believed to have stolen a large number of beehives from farms and forestland in the regions of Serres and Drama over the past six years.

According to police, the stolen beehives are worth some 35,000 euros.

Some of the hives were found and returned to their owners.

Authorities are also seeking an 81-year-old man to whom the younger man is alleged to have sold much of his loot.
