Child porn suspect released from custody
A 24-year-old Greek man arrested earlier this week for allegedly producing, appearing in and trading in child pornography in the first ever such case in Greece was granted conditional release on Friday.
Authorities decided to release him after deeming that he is not a risk, sources said.
However the suspect was freed on the condition that he visit his local police station twice a month as well as see a psychologist.
A raid on the man’s home in Thessaloniki turned up a large number of videos and images of children aged as young as 4 being sexually abused.
