Warrant released for chief suspect in 2010 Exarchia murder
The Greek Police on Monday said it has issued a warrant for the arrest of a 51-year-old Bulgarian national who is suspected of shooting to death a 52-year-old Polish man in the downtown Athens neighborhood of Exarchia in July 2010.
Investigators believe the suspect beat and shot the 52-year-old over financial differences.
Both men are thought to have been homeless, according to the report, and had found two guns and a bulletproof vest hidden in an abandoned building they had been using as a squat.
The victim allegedly sold the contraband and then failed to share the proceeds with the 51-year-old suspect, prompting his ire.
