Athens University elects new rector

Thanos Dimopoulos, head of the Athens University’s medical department was elected as the university’s new rector last Friday.

Among the new rector’s top priorities is a demand for new academic appointments and the reversal of the previous government’s mobility scheme regarding administrative staff.
