After drawing race-goers for the past 78 years, the horse-racing track at the Faliron Delta on southern Athens’s coast closed yesterday. It will be replaced by new installations scheduled to open in about a month in the equestrian center being built for next year’s Olympic Games on the outskirts of Markopoulo, in eastern Attica.
