Claim of responsibility for Athens police precinct attack

An attack on Dafni police station in southern Athens has been claimed by an unnamed group.

The attack led to four vehicles being burned and, according to the claim of responsibility published online, a policeman firing a warning shot into the air.

In the claim for the attack, the authors make reference to Lambros Fountas, an anarchist killed in a shootout with police in March 2010. The assailants said they targeted Dafni police precinct because that is where the officers who shot Fountas were based.
