Stamati to provide additional testimony concerning husband
Viki Stamati, who is married to jailed former Defense Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos, will provide additional testimony in connection with the corruption allegations against her husband, her counsel Frangiskos Ragousis said on Monday.
Her request was reportedly accepted by the authorities.
Stamati, who was arrested last week after escaping from the Dromokaiteio mental health facility where she is being treated for depression, asked to testify before prosecutors Isidoros Dogiakos and Grigoris Peponis, “for reasons of trust,” her counsel said, instead of the five-member appeals court that is handling the arms procurements case.
