Drivers licenses, number plates to be returned for Easter break

Motorists who have had their driver’s license or number plates revoked over minor traffic offenses will be able to get them back as of Wednesday in view of the Easter break.

Alternate Minister for Citizens’ Protection Yiannis Panousis approved the measure on Tuesday in a bid to help citizens wanting to travel over the holiday period.

The measure does not include drivers caught under the influence of alcohol, breaking the speed limit, running a red light or other major offenses.
