Greek foreign minister in US for five days from April 20

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is due to begin a five-day visit to the US on Monday, April 20.

He will begin his trip by meeting Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington, where he will also hold talks with National Security Adviser Susan Rice.

On Friday, April 24, Kotzias is due to meet in New York with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the mediator for Greece’s name dispute with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Matthew Nimetz.

Kotzias will also meet Archbishop Demetrios of America.

Kotzias’s talks are expected to cover security issues, the Cyprus problem, Greek-Turkish relations and the economic crisis.
