Fishmongers’ owned by sister of Roupakias targeted

Two fishmongers’ owned by the sister of Giorgos Roupakias (photo), the Golden Dawn member who stabbed rapper Pavlos Fyssas to death in September 2013, were attacked early Friday.

The first incident happened at around 2.45 a.m. in Pangrati, eastern Athens. An incendiary device went off at the entrance to one store, causing minor damage.

A similar device, made from camping gas canisters, was placed outside another store owned by Roupakias’s sister, in Halandri.

It was found by police at 3.15 a.m. but had not exploded. Roupakias is one of several Golden Dawn members due to stand trial with party MPs on Monday.
