Two arrested for kidnapping 22-year-old on Kos

Two men were arrested on the island of Kos on Friday for allegedly kidnapping a 22-year-old man and blackmailing his parents.

Police said that the two men, aged 31 and 41, abducted their victim in the island’s main town on Thursday due to financial differences.

They then drove him to various parts of the island before calling the 22-year-old’s father and demanding a ransom for his release.

The victim’s father notified police and was instructed to arrange a meeting with the kidnappers.

The police were lying in wait when he went to meet the two men to hand over the money. The victim had been beaten during his ordeal and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
