Migrant killed under tour bus in Igoumenitsa
A 21-year-old Afghan migrant crawled under an Italy-bound bus in an attempt to smuggle himself out of the country, but was killed when his body was caught in the axle of the vehicle.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight at Greece’s northwestern port of Igoumenitsa.
Many immigrants from Africa and the Middle East use Greece as a transit point on their way to western and northern Europe.
