George Papandreou denies divorce report
Ex-Prime Minister George Papandreou’s office issued a statement on Wednesday denying that he and his wife, Ada, are divorcing.
The statement said that a story in tabloid newspaper Espresso claiming that the couple are separating has “no connection to reality or the truth.”
Papandreou quit PASOK to launch his own party, the Movement of Democratic Socialists, for the January 25 elections, but the grouping failed to clear the 3 percent threshold needed to enter Parliament.
